Rising is an atmospheric painting built through soft layers of colour and movement. Low distant hills sit quietly on the horizon beneath a wide, pale sky, with drifts of cloud and a solitary star. In the foreground, gentle ripples of greyed off blues, greens and muted terracotta create subtle movement, with touches of silver and sand running through the surface. The work is finished with a clear resin top coat, giving depth and a smooth, light-reflective finish.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a small dark fibre in the resin topcoat in the sky area (please see photo with blue arrow). The fibre measures approximately 6mm end to end and is not obviously visible. Unfortunately, this sometimes happens with resin topcoats when there is dust etc in the air that settles on the painting while the resin is curing. The original price of this painting is $500 but has been reduced to $400 due to this imperfection.
ORIGINAL PAINTING on timber board with a deep edge timber frame (Liming White over clear pine). Finished with a top coat of clear art resin. All original paintings come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
